We invite you to celebrate love and community this summer in the redwood forests of the Mendocino Woodlands. You are an important part of our web and we hope you can join us!
Our story
We met at a party in 2019 at the magical home of our dear friends Dain and Pando in the land of Cerro Pedernal, New Mexico. It was an instant and powerful connection. Over the next three years, we had ten beautiful and unforgettable extended dates visiting each other in Oakland and Baltimore. We discovered a deep shared connection to ritual and ceremony, to music, art, and basically everything else and fell madly in love. Our expansive love has become a strengthening force in our lives that bolsters and inspires us to walk our life’s path, together. Our common values and ethics ground us in our shared purpose.
In 2022, we built a bed in the back of April’s minivan and spent the summer traveling across the US to move her out to California, visiting friends and sleeping in beautiful and remote locales. We have seen each other through thick and thin, guided each other through some of the hardest times, and shared some of the greatest experiences of our lives with each other.
Last summer, on the same sacred land where we met, on a beautiful infinity bench that we helped create in 2020 to memorialize Joshua’s beloved friend Joey Casio, we got engaged and made a commitment to a ceremony to interlink our fates for life. We are so honored that you can be a part of our story by sharing this ritual with us.

It takes a village
For our wedding, we wanted to create an experience for our community that honors our roots in the DIY cultures we both came up in. Together we can make more than what we ever could alone.
This is an ambitious organizational undertaking and we need your help to make it happen!
We have a spreadsheet listing all of the roles we need help with for the weekend. Our goal is that people can feel meaningfully involved but not overworked. If you see a role here that you’d like to help with, put your name on the list!
What to bring
A fabulous outfit for the big party
Many layers and comfortable shoes
Your own bedding (if possible)
Pillow
Flashlights/headlamps
Towels
Shower shoes
Bathing suit
Our community
In these fraught times, there is a lot of anger, fear, and polarization. Our goal for this gathering is to weave many communities together, united by love. Our friends and families bring a multitude of backgrounds, beliefs, and lived experiences. We ask everyone to be curious, understanding, and compassionate about our differences.
Please RSVP below by June 1!
